The Rules & Guidelines of King's Crusade are to be followed. They are to be upheld as anyone would obey the rules on any interactive website, and if they are not, then it will result in the possible banning from the site. If you have any questions on any of these rules, please ask.

Note: In order to create new characters (accounts), you must enter a fake email address and then when you login, remember to change the address to the email of your other characters.

Behavior
  • At King's Crusade, it is highly important that we all show Respect to our fellow writers. Not everyone is gifted at grammar and whatnot and so it is important to not bash another for whatever reason.
  • Spam Here at King's Crusade, spam is prohibited, except in the designated area. The proper place for this is the Links/Affiliation board under the OOC category.
  • If your character is a main one and essential to the successful movement to the story, and if you are to be absent for a long period, please post your absence in the General Discussion board under to OOC category. While we are aware that real life can at times make us all swamped, it is asked that you still nevertheless take the time to briefly pop in and post your absence. This is to allow us time to determine how the story will move on, with or without your character.
  • Do NOT ask people for their personal information! We want for the site to be a safe place for everyone, a place where we can look to as a second home. Asking people their personal information is strictly prohibited and anyone behaving in such fashion will be removed from the site immediately.

Chatbox
  • Spam is strictly prohibited in the Chatbox. If you feel the need to advertise your site, then do it in the proper place.
  • No Bashing. Bashing others for whatever reason is prohibited. If there is an issue between any members, please consult a staff member to mediate.

Posting
  • Before Posting in the Chapter threads, you must submit a Character Application under the Character Center category and get it approved by a staff member. Once your application is approved, you will be required to post in the Face Claims thread. Posting in the OOC category is allowed prior to having your application accepted. OOC accounts are restricted to only post in the OOC category.
  • The Point of View of posts does not matter, since we are not as a traditional roleplay. It all depends on what the writer is most comfortable with, if they would prefer to write through the eyes of the character in first, or if they would prefer to write as if they are telling a story in third.
  • Posting Length does not matter at our site. We value quality over quantity, however, we ask that a post's minimum is a paragraph.
  • How often one posts is also different from a normal roleplaying site. Normally, they recommend a few times a week, but since we are a different take on roleplaying, we offer more leeway. All we ask is that one tries to post at least four times a week. This will let the writers be without stress, and hopefully will allow us to move on in a timely manner.
  • When using other members' characters in one's post, it is needed that the writer first consults with the character's owner, to make sure they will allow their character to participate. The writer must also consult with the owner to discover how the character would react to things and speak. This, however, does not permit the writer to take full control over the character. All that the writer may do is write what the character is briefly speaking in a conversation as well as brief movements, e.g. "No, I do not like that at all," Henry replied as strode across the room. It is prohibited that a writer creates another member's character's thoughts, as that is reserved only for the owner who has free reign over the character. It is recommended that prior to posting, the writer asks the owner to read over the post, so that they can make sure what they are saying is actually what they would say. One might also write the post, leaving blanks for the character's speech and actions so that the owner could fill it in. If the post is posted and the owner finds an issue with it, then they have the ability to ask the writer to edit it as they believe the character would be. It is required that the writer, at the bottom of the post, states that the owner gave approval for use of the character.
  • Graphics in posts are fine, as HTML is allowed to be used in the posts. Some might want to decorate the post by adding tables and borders and the like, however, we ask that one does not do too much. We don't want our eyes to hurt trying to read them.

Avatars & Signatures
  • The Maximum size for Avatars is 150x240. Anything bigger will not work. Please make sure the avatar fits the setting, which is in the Medieval Europe and the Medieval Middle East.
  • Signatures can not be more than 400x300. We want everything to be equal and do not wish for the boards stretched.
